Last year, one of the hottest auction items went down to the wire in a bidding war: Golf, Dinner, & Drinks with Patty and Pup at the legendary Marine Drive Golf Club. Formed in 1922, it is one of the most prestigious private golf courses in all of Canada.
Dan & Sheppy were literally wrestling each other to be the last to bid. Turns out, Dan won, and insisted on taking Sheppy along for the experience. Now that is the Holiday Spirit! 
Patty and The Pup have agreed to donate this unique experience again for this year’s auction. They are each offering a round of golf, dinner, and drinks to a lucky bidder. Your call on going together, or separately… but who’d want to miss seeing this:
Some of the Auction lots are posted on the bulletin board–casual polaroids with the donors and their wares. There are some HUGE ones to come… (Stellar Canucks tickets from Dain Currie, and another set from Dave Eaton.)

A) Weighted Power Box Jumps 5×2
B) Backsquat 5×2
*Add weight (5 or so pounds) to both Jumps and Squats.
*Maintain parallel landing height with Jumps.
*Maintain bar speed from last weeks squats.
Conditioning:
“Crawblets”
15 Right Arm KB Rack Front Squats
40m Bear Crawl
15 Left Arm KB Rack Front Squats
40m Bear Crawl
15 Goblet Squats
40m Bear Crawl
*Move swiftly.
*Begin all athletes in cluster at southeast corner of the gym. Bear Crawl in a loop around until returning to kettlebell station.

I thought Squad's request was perfect. Why would you choose to golf with Patty or Pup or both? I would much rather golf with BOTH. This is because I find the game of golf to be more boring than watching this tube of chap stick that is sitting on my desk. I would want both of them there to liven things up: challenge my beliefs, question my values, and leave me morally and ethically violated. :)
PS: Patty needs to comment. His comments could potentially be worth double.

I golfed like shit but made up for it in food and booze when we got off the course. :-)
And speaking of the course it is a treat to golf at Marine Drive. After experiencing the quality of fairways and greens (and bunkers - ugh) you can really understand why it is worth it to pay a premium for membership there.
I know we've got a few lady golfers out there... Farr? Nicola???

It was a awesome day with Afgan and Sheppy, great guys! I look forward to see who we get to take out next year, get your field trip permission slip signed early for a late one ;-)
Not only was whooping Sheppy's butt on the final bid exciting, the day surely didn't disappoint! Turns out we could have saved a bunch of coin if we just went splits on a bid, but then you don't get a joy of winning the bid and LANYAR would get a little less money. Moral of the story.. win the bid!
Pup and Patty are kick ass hosts if you're looking for a free wheeling day on the course. Pup might be the most calming influence on your golf game ever. Patty not so much, but fuck, nobody is perfect. We were well fed and well lubricated, then topped it off with a pub crawl down Main St. for the ages! Note to would be participants - obtain a free pass from the wife for a late night!
